This is a picture of the devastation from the flooding in Louisiana. A state of emergency has been declared, and one can be sure that in spite of the inevitable bureaucratic bottlenecks, help will be on the way for the unfortunate citizens affected by this disaster.
This is a picture of the USA, colored red are the Republican states, blue are Democrat. (Not representative of the 2016 election, Trump will have upended much of the red areas, temporarily at least.)

You will note, these are all Republicans. Many are representatives of areas that were devastated by Hurricane Katrina, and all lobbied hard for the aid that went to help that area following that disaster.
As I said, there will be no doubt that the current flooding in Louisiana will get the financial aid that this country has a moral obligation and a human desire to provide.
The amorality shown by the Republicans in voting against Sandy aid, while getting Katrina aid and now new aid for this years flooding is breathtaking. This modern Republican Party, and those that they have induced to vote for them are the lowest of the low. This is the party that now offers up Donald Trump to be President.
This is a significant portion of America in 2016. How freaking sad is that?
