His defenders say "He's only joking!", but Trump never does say that himself. His surrogates try to clean up each and every mess he creates when he shoots off his mouth. But, when there's no apology that comes from Trump himself, we all know he's up to his usual nonsense.
And nonsense it is. If he were a lounge act, it would still suck, but hey, even Andrew Dice Clay had a few fans for a while. The shocking fact that this clown is the nominee of one of the two major American political parties would be hilarious if it weren't so tragic.
