The robed rubes are to thank for the complete degeneration of campaign finance. PACs, SuperPACs, and their ilk will continue to muddy the waters when it comes to unfettered funneling of money into "issue ads" with no need to be acquainted with the truth. The supreme stupidity of their Citizens United decision is a blot on this country that will remain until we wake up and realize that corporations are not people with the same rights as people.
