The unending deification of Reagan is so distasteful. This guy has set into motion, (his handlers, really) the worst economic trends in the last thirty years. The destruction of the middle class, the enriching of the wealthiest, and his blundering foreign policies are but part of his shameful legacy.
The cult of Reagan has recast the old actor as the paragon of conservatism. The truth is he was a senile, bumbling lightweight that this country still suffers from.
