Oh boy. The United States is signatory to many international treaties, the Geneva Convention being one. We must abide by the terms of these agreements, and if not, pay the price.
The Nuremburg Trials were created by the Allies after WW II to address the crimes against humanity perpetrated by the Nazis. The United Nations, and a host other treaties following were created to codify and enforce these laws. The United States was the leader in all these efforts.
To claim, as Frum does, that this would somehow remove U.S. sovereignty is a dishonest and self serving analysis. It is repugnant and unworthy.
