Five police officers assassinated by snipers at a peaceful protest in Dallas. Snipers in Dallas? Kind of familiar, no?

Isn't there something innately cowardly in the murderous Texan impulses that favors murder at a distance? Why is there reluctance to put oneself at risk while yielding to ideological and psychotic impulses when carrying out murder in Dallas, Texas?

Of all the six flags that have flown over Texas, it seems that the Stars and Stripes have the least relevance for Texas culture.
