Big Investors Snatch Up Verizon - WSJ.com

Big Investors Snatch Up Verizon - WSJ.com:

What hasn't been said about this, is that this is a very big bet against the surviving of the principle of net neutrality. Verizon stands to clean up big time if the FCC falls into line, as it appears to be preparing to do. The big money hedge funds smell the blood and have moved in for the kill.

And that smell? It's the rotting flesh of free expression and free access to the internet for anyone regardless of size or ability to pay. Just as TV and newspapers have been sucked into the corporate vortex, so will the internet be as well.

It was fun while it lasted.
