Can there be any doubt that, in a real sense, the terrorists won?

"These colors don't run", bravely announced from many a car bumper, have been run over by different colors. The smothering blue of the NYPD, and the white from flags surrendering our constitutional rights.

The attacks of 9/11 killed 3000 people, and a big part of the country's character as well. We should never stop mourning those killed that day.

When will we start mourning for the freedoms we lost that day?
