The above video would like to play upon the 'conscience' of regular folk. The working Joe, middle class salaryman. It advises that perpetuating insurance fraud will ruin lives, destroy hopes and dreams, end all prospects for employment.
It's a PSA put together by the insurance industry that hopes to scare people into not denting the profits of the insurance companies. Forget for a minute the fraud perpetuated by the companies that routinely deny claims or underpay claims or provide substandard renumeration for losses incurred by insureds.
The video below is a short discussion about how the financial crimes of the one percenters are dealt with by those charged with enforcement of securities laws. Needless to say, there is a wide gulf in how these crimes are prosecuted, and how the penalties are applied.
There are indeed two Americas. One for the elite and wealthiest and another completely different one for the incredibly shrinking middle class.
