Even the "moderate" Republicans are suspect. As this piece shows, Whitman and her policies were part and parcel responsible for the pension and budget difficulties currently on display in New Jersey. Let's not forget her terrible performance in the aftermath of 9/11. Her pronouncements of safety at ground zero stand as one of the most egregious wrongs perpetrated upon the first responders to that tragedy. The entire Bush administration failed on that from W. on down.
For the good of the states and the country in general, these crappy Republicans need to be washed away and out of positions of responsibility.
