The archaic Second Amendment not withstanding, there must be a national gun policy with strict enforcement implemented in a sane and rational manner. Just as drivers licenses expire after a certain number of years, and must then be renewed, a similar approach may be used to deal with legally purchased guns by people no longer qualified to own them. It's an idea that no intelligent person can morally oppose.
