Georgetown/On Faith: A secular view of Obama at the National Prayer Breakfast - Jacques Berlinerblau

Whether Democrat or Republican, the fact that any President should troop off to this National Prayer Breakfast is a shame. The evangelical Christian infiltration into politics makes this so. All politicians seem to feel the need to pander to this most un-American of special interest groups, or pay a price at the ballot box. It's the height of hypocrisy that in the land where we profess to adhere to the principle of separation of church and state, that the elected politicians must perform like idiotic religious sheep at these embarrassing functions. It really speaks volumes about the troubles we find this society in today.
