News organizations like the NY TImes should always have been actively seeking to promote the development and discovery of information a la Wikileaks. That they and others haven't is the reason that Wikileaks has been spawned. The Wikileaks function is a necessary one, and it's been needed for a long time. While the plan the Times is thinking about implementing is a step in the right direction, it is shameful that this is so necessary and needed.
