It's been said before that there are two Americas. That is certainly true economically, but it is just as true culturally. The divide between gun "enthusiasts" and those with a more sane view constitute a schism in this country that is beyond any possible rapprochement.
The lack of a rational coherent national gun policy exposes our culture as immature and self destructive. It's sad and dispiriting. The carnage continues.
